UMBC Retriever Talks

Join us for the third cohort of Retriever Talks on May 17

"There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about." ~ Margaret Wheatley

When an individual shares their story with the larger community, we can all experience what it means to make an impact. When we hear our organizational values reflected through diverse stories and lived experiences, we realize a sense of collective identity and belonging that is inclusive of multiple perspectives in ways that are powerful, palpable, and vital in promoting thriving workplace cultures.

We invite you to join us for UMBC's third cohort of Retriever Talks on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. Our program is from 10 a.m. to noon in the Fine Arts Recital Hall and will be followed by a reception until 1 p.m.

This year's theme: Revealing Our Common Unity in CommUNITY explores the depths and the micro and macro ways that we can generate community from the inside out. Our eight community-selected speakers will bring to life facets of UMBC's four core values: Reach Together, Extend Beyond, Claim Your Future, and Explore Every Angle. They will invite each of us to meaningfully reflect, widen our perspectives, and move toward inspired action as active co-creators of our UMBC.

Cohort III Speakers:

Dr. Ken Baron
Dr. Brittini Brown
Marion Emmert
Dr. Kathy Glyshaw
Lori Hardesty
Melessia Jasper
Justen Paden
Michael Paszkiewicz

Seating is limited - claim your spot today and invite a friend to join you!
