May 14: UMBC COVID-19 Action Update
Campus Status: The University is open, with employees working remotely. UMBC’s physical campus remains closed. Maryland is currently under a Stay at Home Order until Friday at 5 p.m.

Student Services and Support
- The Division of Student Affairs wishes all students Good Luck on Finals.
- If you have belongings in the residence halls and have not signed up for a move-out time or option, please contact Residential Life ASAP to make arrangements.
- The 7th annual Lavender Celebration will be held virtually on Tuesday, May 19 at 1 p.m.
- University Health Services and Health Promotion offer meditation tips and resources.
Academic Continuity
- The Undergraduate Research Awards (URA) deadline has been extended to May 15, 2020. The selection committee has made a number of changes to support research during this time. Apply now.
Business Continuity and Staff Support
- Comprehensive FAQ's related to the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) are now posted on the HR Website.
Facilities
- Only employees with a letter from their supervisor or students that are approved for late stay should be on campus. If you have an emergency need to visit campus, call UMBC Police Deputy Chief Bruce Perry at 443-677-2195 or Lieutenant Derrick Johns at 410-207-0850.
